Junior Buyer

Our manufacturing & distribution facilities are located strategically throughout the United States to provide our retail partners with the highest quality products and optimized service levels.</p><p><br></p><p>We have an outstanding opportunity for a <strong>Junior Buyer</strong> to join our team in our Spokane, WA office. The Junior Buyer is responsible for the tactical purchasing activities of packaging materials across multi-site operations. This position will focus on the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials to ensure plants remain stocked with packaging materials while maintaining accurate MRP system data and supporting supplier performance.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other aspects may be assigned:</strong></p><ul><li>Create & issue all purchase orders for packaging materials to be delivered on-time to meet production schedules across a multi-plant environment</li><li>Manage & monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate supplies to support production schedules and operations</li><li>Work closely with suppliers, internal plant associates, and freight carriers to adjust delivery priorities as needed</li><li>Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and accounting</li><li>Material part number creation and management</li><li>Maintain accurate data and settings in the ERP system, including reorder points, lead times, order increments, pricing, contracts, and vendor information</li><li>Ensure supply chain and procurement records are current and in compliance with company standards</li><li>Identify cost savings opportunities and make recommendations to management</li><li>Support the Procurement Agents in the RFP process, including supplier research, validation, bidding, and negotiation</li><li>Facilitate the vendor approval process and ensure proper material qualifications</li><li>Provide purchasing support for new product development projects</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree preferred</li><li>3+ years of purchasing, procurement, and/or material management experience.</li><li>Experience in purchasing packaging materials desired</li><li>Experience in day-to-day vendor management</li><li>Results driven, action-oriented, confident decision maker.</li><li>Prior experience in a manufacturing setting desired</li><li>Ability to clearly and concisely communicate and work as an effective member of a cross functional team</li><li>Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Global Harvest Foods offers a competitive compensation and benefits package</p><p><br></p><p>For immediate consideration, send your resume and cover letter today</p><p><br></p><p>Visit our website at www.ghfoods.com to learn more about our business</p><p><br></p><p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
